What doors are used in schools?
Schools use fire-rated doors on corridors and classrooms, glazed doors and screens at entrances, and robust doors for halls, plant rooms and external access. Do school doors need to be fire rated?
Doors on escape routes and between fire compartments - usually corridor, classroom and plant room doors - need the fire rating set by the building fire strategy. We manufacture school doorsets with 30 minute to 240 minute ratings, tested to BS 476 or BS EN 1634-1.
Can school doors have anti-finger-trap hinges?
