A Greener DoorTechnik

Over previous weeks, we have had solar panels installed on our factory roof. After much consideration it was decided we would do our part in combatting climate change by carbon saving and producing our own clean, greener energy.

With the successful installation, completed by local company NerG, we now have a more sustainable energy source that will reduce our fossil fuel usage significantly. It has been estimated 58.4% of our annual electricity demand will be covered by the solar panels, reducing imported electricity from the grid. This is equivalent to planting 1106 trees and 17.62 tonnes of CO2. What’s more is we are also exporting to the grid!

Final results

As this is still a recent change, we are yet to see the full potential but promising results have already been identified. We are very happy the panels are now up and running and look forward to future results. Thank you to NerG for the excellent service provided.
